Cornerstone Baptist Church has a heart for missions. It’s the pulse of our people. It’s the fire in the family. It’s been that way from the beginning. May it remain that way until the end.

Within the first six months of our existence, God allowed CBC to be involved in over 10,000 conversions. Missions is not just something we preach; it’s something we also practice. As if that were not enough, that number grew to over 24,000 souls before our second anniversary, and neared 40,000 professions of faith by our third anniversary as a congregation. Our prayer is for that number to multiply year after year.

The Bible message is clear and it cannot be compromised. The final words of our Lord, found in Acts 1:8 and spoken just prior to his ascension, have plotted the plan for us. Our evangelistic efforts begin at home and spread out from there. The strategy is not sequential but simultaneous. It’s not here or there; it is here and there.

Cornerstone Baptist Church has accepted that task, and by God’s grace will fulfill her responsibility as it pertains to evangelism and missions, faithfully testifying to the grace of God.

Henry Martyn, 19th Century missionary and translator, said: The Spirit of Christ is the spirit of missions, and the nearer we get to Him, the more intensely missionary we must become.

Our nearness to Him can always be measured by our nearness to them.
